My Son

(It occurred to me I've posted this so close to mother's day... so HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!)

Hughston DeLier alongside his very proud mother, Sonnette DeLier. (toooo get this lil bit out of the way, his mother is a half-elf, making him a quarter-elf because of a human father)

Aside from my finalizing what Hughston--finally--looks like (as i have made poor attempts of drawing him here: [link] and here: [link]), this was also a bit of a study in body language. Faces projecting something completely different then what the body is projecting. I've shown this picture to a few of my artistically inclined friends and they've all come with different perspectives.

Curious to know yours.

I've always gone for a Tombstone-ish feel for Hughston. Closest thing to gunslinger in my DMs world is an archer, which he is. Tadaa. Sonnette however, I tried to show her age a little in her taste in clothes as her face won't show much sign of wear until her son is 70. Her references were along the line of Jane Seymour to Anne of Cleves era Tudors England.
